93Consultation requirement if expenses result in personal benefit

  1. This section applies if the Speaker proposes to make a determination that the Speaker considers would result in a personal benefit or potential personal benefit for 1 or more of the following persons:

  2. a member:
    1. a Minister:
      1. a family member of a member or a Minister.
        1. The Speaker must—

        2. consult the Commissioner of Inland Revenue about the consequences of the proposed determination for members’ tax liability; and
          1. assess the value of the benefit; and
            1. include in the determination a statement of that assessed value.
