The Minister Responsible for Ministerial Services must make a decision once in each term of Parliament. You will see this decision made at the start of each term. The Minister must talk to the Remuneration Authority and the Speaker about when they plan to make this decision. The Minister's decision stays in place until they make a new one. This new decision must follow the rules set out earlier. You can expect to see a new decision made in each term of Parliament. The Remuneration Authority and the Speaker are involved at the start of each term. They help the Minister plan when to make their decision. The Minister's decision is important and stays in place until the next one is made.
