Illustration for Parliament Act 2025

You need to know how issues about funding and services are resolved. The Speaker sets up a process to sort out problems with their decisions. This process involves the chief executive. You will go through at least two stages to resolve the issue. First, your issue is assessed to see if it can be agreed on. Then, if needed, the Speaker makes a final decision. The Speaker's process is used to interpret or apply their decisions made under section 85(1). The chief executive is part of this process. This is how issues about authorised funding and services are resolved.
