This page is about a bill. That means that it's not the law yet, but some people want it to be the law. It could change quickly, and some of the information is just a draft.

Clerk and Office of the Clerk - Office of the Clerk - Employment

115: Offence to solicit or attempt to influence Clerk in employment matters

You could also call this:

"It's an offence to try to unfairly influence the Clerk when they're making decisions about employees."

You could commit an offence if you try to improperly influence the Clerk or their delegate when they are making a decision about an employee. This includes decisions about appointing, promoting, or disciplining an employee. You could be fined up to $2,000 if you are convicted of this offence. You would be trying to improperly influence the Clerk or their delegate if you directly or indirectly solicit or attempt to influence them. This is when the Clerk or delegate is making a decision about an individual employee, such as transferring or removing them from their office or employment. This is a proposed change to the law. If you do this, you could be liable for a fine. The fine would not exceed $2,000 if you are convicted. This is what could happen if you commit this offence.
