This page is about a bill. That means that it's not the law yet, but some people want it to be the law. It could change quickly, and some of the information is just a draft.

Parliament Bill

Clerk and Office of the Clerk - Clerk - Appointment, functions, duties, powers, and delegations

106: Status of delegations

You could also call this:

"What happens to jobs given to others by the Clerk"

Illustration for Parliament Bill

If a delegation is made under this Part, it keeps going until it is revoked. You can think of a delegation like a job that someone is given to do. The Clerk can revoke the delegation by writing it down. When a Clerk stops working, any delegations they made still apply, as if the new Clerk made them. The Clerk can still do the jobs they delegated to someone else. If someone makes a mistake while doing a delegated job, the Clerk is still responsible for what happened.
