Compensation - The award

88: Award to be in writing

You could also call this:

“The Tribunal's decision must be written down, signed, and kept safe”

When the Land Valuation Tribunal makes a decision, they must write it down. The District Court Judge who is in charge of the Tribunal or leads it will sign this written decision. They need to do this as soon as they can after making the decision. Then, the judge will give or send this written decision to a person called the Registrar of the High Court. This Registrar works in the area where the land is. The Registrar will then keep this decision safe by filing it in the High Court.
