Public Works Act 1981

Defence works

185: Destroying or altering defence works

You could also call this:

“It's against the law to mess with defence stuff on government land”

If you damage, move, or destroy any defence works or markers on government land, you are breaking the law. This includes things like survey pegs, marks, blocks, posts, or poles that have been put there. You also can’t get in the way of people who are working on defence projects or surveying land for these projects. If you do any of these things, you might have to pay a fine of up to $1,000.
