Public Works Act 1981

General provisions

230: Minister of Crown may appoint person to sell stores, etc, by auction

You could also call this:

“Crown Minister can choose someone to sell government items at auction”

If a Minister of the Crown needs to sell things that were used for government work under this Act, they can choose a registered auctioneer to do it. This applies to any items that the government has to sell or is allowed to sell. The auctioneer will sell these items by auction. This means that people can bid on the items, and the highest bidder gets to buy them.
