Public Works Act 1981

Compensation - The award

89: Separate sums to be awarded for items of claim

You could also call this:

“The Tribunal looks at each part of your claim separately and decides how much you get for each”

When you make a claim for compensation, the Land Valuation Tribunal will look at each part of your claim separately. They won’t just give you one big sum of money for everything. Instead, they will decide how much money you should get for each specific item in your claim. They might also add some conditions to the payment if they think it’s fair. If they think you shouldn’t get any money for a particular item, they can decide that too. This helps make sure that each part of your claim is carefully considered on its own.

The award

89Separate sums to be awarded for items of claim
