Local Government Act 1974

Divestment of land drainage schemes and water race schemes - Transfer petitions and transfer proposals

517O: Service of copies of objections

You could also call this:

"Telling the person you disagree with about your objection"

Illustration for Local Government Act 1974

If you lodge an objection under section 517K, you must give a copy of the objection to the person who proposed the transfer, or their representative. You can do this in person or by post, and you must do it before or immediately after you lodge the objection. This is so the proposer knows what you are objecting to and can respond if they want to.
