The Local Government Act 1974 has a schedule about fuel tax for local authorities. You can find this schedule in section 6, which is empowered by sections ss 185(2) and 187. It shows the different scales of fuel tax.

The schedule has a table with three columns. The columns are for the scale, the tax on motor spirit or ethyl alcohol per litre, and the tax on diesel or biodiesel per litre. The table lists three scales: A, B, and C, with different tax amounts for each type of fuel.

You can see the tax amounts for each scale in the table. For example, scale A has a tax of 0.66 cents per litre for motor spirit or ethyl alcohol, and 0.33 cents per litre for diesel or biodiesel. Scale B has a tax of 0.44 cents per litre for motor spirit or ethyl alcohol, and 0.22 cents per litre for diesel or biodiesel. Scale C has a tax of 0.22 cents per litre for motor spirit or ethyl alcohol, and 0.11 cents per litre for diesel or biodiesel.
