29: Minister may require survey to be done

You could also call this:

"The Minister can ask someone to survey their land before deciding on a permit."

Illustration for Crown Minerals Act 1991

The Minister can ask for a survey to be done on land that someone has applied for a permit for. You need to have the land surveyed in a specific way if the Minister asks for it. The Minister will wait until they get a survey plan, checked by the Surveyor-General, before deciding whether to grant a permit.

The survey plan must be given to the chief executive by the person who applied for the permit. This plan is important for the Minister to make a decision about the permit. The Minister gets to decide when to ask for a survey to be done.
