Illustration for Crown Minerals Act 1991

If you hold a licence to look for or use petroleum, you must clean up any infrastructure you put in place. This includes things like pipes and equipment. You have to pay for the cleanup too. You must do this for any infrastructure you used for activities allowed by your licence, and for any older infrastructure that is related to your licence. If you are giving up part of your licence area, you must clean up the infrastructure in the area you are giving up.
