When a draft minerals programme is created, the Minister must make sure you can find out about it. The Minister has to give public notice of the draft programme and also tell all iwi about it. The draft programme must be available on a website for you to look at. The public notice must give you reasonable time to understand what the draft programme is about. It must also tell you where to find the programme on the website and how you can make a submission on it. You will also be told by what date you need to make your submission, so you can have your say on the draft minerals programme.
