If you break the law under section 100(1) of the Crown Minerals Act, you can go to prison for up to 2 years or get a fine of up to $400,000. If you keep breaking the law, you can get an extra fine of up to $20,000 for each day you break the law. You can also get a fine or prison time if you break other parts of the law.

If you break the law under section 100(2) of the Crown Minerals Act, you can get a fine of up to $20,000. If you keep breaking the law, you can get an extra fine of up to $2,000 for each day you break the law. There are different fines for breaking different parts of the law, like up to $800,000 for breaking section 100(2A) or up to $200,000 for breaking section 100(2B)(a).

If you break the law under section 100(3) of the Crown Minerals Act, you can get a fine of up to $3,000. If you break section 100(3A), you can get a fine of up to $800,000. A court can also give you community work as a punishment, and they follow the rules in Part 2 of the Sentencing Act 2002.

If you are found guilty of breaking section 77 of the Crown Minerals Act, the court can cancel your right to access something or add more conditions to it. If you keep doing something that is against the law, it is considered a continuing offence. This means you can get in trouble for each day you break the law.
