Illustration for Crown Minerals Act 1991

If you have to decommission something, you must send a report to the chief executive. You do this at certain times, like when something specific happens, or when the Minister asks you to. The Minister will tell you when they want the report. You have to include certain information in the report, if that information is prescribed. The report must also meet any other requirements that are prescribed. When you send the report, you are telling the chief executive that you have finished decommissioning, as required by the Crown Minerals Act 1991, which was amended by the Crown Minerals (Decommissioning and Other Matters) Amendment Act 2021.
