Illustration for Crown Minerals Act 1991

You cannot enter into a contract of insurance that pays a person back for a fine imposed on them under the Crown Minerals Act 1991. This also includes any costs the person has to pay to defend themselves in court when the fine is given. The law says you cannot get insurance to cover these costs or the fine itself, as stated in the Crown Minerals Act 1991.
