Illustration for Crown Minerals Act 1991

The Minister must think it is a good idea to delay something before they decide to do it. This is under a rule called section 89Y. You want to know when the Minister will decide to delay something. The Minister looks at several things to make this decision. They think about whether delaying will help the people who own the equipment, and what will happen if they do not delay. They also consider what plans are in place for the area, and how much it will cost to clean up later on.
