You can apply for a special endorsement on your firearms licence if you are 18 or over and have a firearms licence. This endorsement lets you possess a prohibited firearm or prohibited magazine. You must apply using a form from the Police and say why you need the endorsement. You can also apply for this endorsement if you are a licensed dealer or an employee of a licensed dealer. You must be 18 or over and have a dealer's licence or a firearms licence. The Police will need to take your photo as part of the application process. When you apply, you must use a form from the Police and explain why you are applying for the endorsement, as described in section 4A(1). The Police will use the information to decide on your application. You must follow the rules and give the Police the information they need.
