Illustration for Arms Act 1983

You have a firearms licence with an endorsement for pistols or restricted weapons. You must follow security precautions for these weapons as set out in regulations under the Arms Act 1983. You must also ensure restricted weapons are inoperable by removing a vital part. You might have extra conditions for your endorsement. A Police member can add these conditions when they give you the endorsement under section 30. These conditions are about how you use or look after your pistol or restricted weapon.
