If you have a dealer's licence, you must follow some conditions. You must show any pistols, restricted weapons, or prohibited firearms to a police officer when they ask. You must also let the police officer inspect these items and the place where you keep them. The police officer must tell you who they are and why they are inspecting your items. When a police officer comes to inspect your items, they must identify themselves and tell you they are exercising their power under this law. If they are not in uniform, they must show you proof that they are a police officer. You can ask them to show you this proof at any time during the inspection. The police officer can enter your premises at a reasonable time to inspect your items. You must let them do this as part of your dealer's licence conditions. This is to ensure you are following the rules and keeping your items safely.
