When you get a certificate for a pistol shooting range under section 38V, you must have an officer on duty at all times. This officer must have a firearms licence and be trained in pistol shooting range safety management. You must follow these rules when the range is in use. The Commissioner can add other conditions to your certificate, such as how to maintain the range or who can access it. They can also decide what types of firearms and ammunition you can use, or what competitions you can hold. These conditions are important to keep everyone safe. If you want to change how you run your pistol shooting range, you must ask the Commissioner to review your certificate. This is so they can check if you are still following the conditions they set.
