The Governor-General can make rules about cost recovery. You can find these rules in the form of fees or charges for certain activities. The Governor-General makes these rules after the responsible Minister recommends them. The Minister must talk to others before making a recommendation, as stated in section 82. The rules can be about fees for activities, as outlined in sections 79 to 83. They can also be about other purposes, as stated in section 84 and section 85. These rules are a type of secondary legislation, which has its own publication requirements, as explained in Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019.
