55AOffence to assemble prohibited firearm

  1. Every person commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years who, without lawful purpose,—

  2. assembles a prohibited firearm; or
    1. converts a firearm into a prohibited firearm.
