If your dealer's licence expires or you surrender it, you stop being allowed to do dealer activities. You also can't let your employees do dealer activities for you. You must give all the records you are required to keep by section 12 to the Police straight away if they are not already in the registry. If you break this rule without a good reason, you can be charged with an offence and might have to go to prison for up to 6 months or pay a fine of up to $10,000. You have to follow these rules when your licence expires or is surrendered.
