50AUnlawful possession of prohibited firearm

  1. Every person commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years who—

  2. is in possession of a prohibited firearm; and
    1. is not authorised or permitted expressly by or pursuant to this Act to be in possession of that prohibited firearm.
