You must report it to the Police if you hurt someone with a firearm, airgun, pistol, or restricted weapon. You can report it at the nearest Police station or to a Police officer. 58Reporting of injuries caused by firearms, airguns, pistols, or restricted weapons

  1. Every person who causes bodily injury to or the death of any person by the use of a firearm, airgun, pistol, or restricted weapon, shall, as soon as reasonably practicable, report the incident in person—

  2. at the nearest Police station; or
    1. to a member of the Police.
      1. Every person commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months or to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or to both who contravenes subsection (1).
