97BPurpose of NEDS

  1. The purpose of the NEDS is to provide for national consistency in the design, construction, and operational performance of water services networks, including by—

  2. promoting the efficient and financially sustainable operation of those networks; and
    1. improving the networks’ reliability and resilience; and
      1. protecting public health and safety; and
        1. contributing to the continuous improvement of water services.
