When a laboratory gets accredited, you need to know the laboratory accreditation body tells the Water Services Authority. The body must tell them when a lab's accreditation is granted, changed, renewed, suspended, or taken away. The Water Services Authority then updates the register of accredited laboratories. The laboratory accreditation body must notify the Water Services Authority in a certain way and within 7 working days. You can find more information about this in the Water Services Act 2021 and the Local Government (Water Services) (Repeals and Amendments) Act 2025. The Water Services Authority is in charge of keeping the register up to date.
