You can take a different approach to a water service if the provider agrees. They can approve a different solution instead of following the usual rules. You can find the usual rules in sections 97K to 97N. You must follow the NEDS and any local water rules when using a different solution. The water service provider can choose to approve a different solution on their own or after someone asks them. If a water service provider approves a different solution, they must send a copy to the Water Services Authority.
