You are protected if you act under the Water Services Act 2021. This applies to you if you are a compliance officer, the chief executive, or someone helping a compliance officer. It also applies if you are the Water Services Authority, an operator appointed under section 83(2), or a person authorised under section 114(1). You will not be liable for anything you do or do not do when performing your duties under this Act. This is if you act in good faith and with reasonable cause. You can also look at section 6 of the Crown Proceedings Act 1950 for more information.
