If you supply drinking water and think you might not have enough, you must tell the Water Services Authority, Fire and Emergency New Zealand, and your local authorities about the problem. You must also ask your local authorities to help you by using their powers to restrict water use for things that are not essential. If you supply water to another supplier, you must tell them about the problem too. You may need to tell other parties about the problem if the Water Services Authority says you must.
