When you get an infringement notice, it must have certain information. It must tell you what you are alleged to have done wrong, including when and where it happened. It must also tell you how much you have to pay and how to pay it. You need to know how long you have to pay the fee and what happens if you do not pay. The notice must include a summary of the provisions of section 21(10) of the Summary Proceedings Act 1957. It must also tell you that you have the right to request a hearing. If you do not pay the fee or ask for a hearing, the notice must tell you what will happen next. It may include other information that the regulations require. If you get an infringement notice, the rules under section 21 of the Summary Proceedings Act 1957 can be used to deal with the offence.
