You can commit an offence if you fail to register a temporary drinking water supply arrangement under section 33(2)(b). You can also commit an offence if you fail to comply with the requirements of a temporary drinking water safety plan or any conditions imposed by the Water Services Authority under section 33(5). You must immediately notify the Water Services Authority of a temporary drinking water supply arrangement under section 34(3)(b), or register a drinking water supply in accordance with section 34(4). You will be liable for a fine if you commit an offence. The fine can be up to $50,000 for an individual or up to $200,000 for a body corporate or an unincorporated body. 187Offence relating to planned events or unplanned supply of drinking water

  1. A person commits an offence against this section if the person—

  2. fails to register a temporary drinking water supply arrangement under section 33(2)(b); or
    1. fails to comply with the requirements of a temporary drinking water safety plan or any conditions imposed by the Water Services Authority under section 33(5); or
      1. fails to immediately notify the Water Services Authority of a temporary drinking water supply arrangement under section 34(3)(b); or
        1. fails to register a drinking water supply in accordance with section 34(4).
          1. A person who commits an offence against subsection (1) is liable on conviction,—

          2. for an individual, to a fine not exceeding $50,000:
            1. for a body corporate or an unincorporated body, to a fine not exceeding $200,000.
