If you supply gas pipeline services, the Gas (Information Disclosure) Regulations 1997 will still apply to you for every financial year before the first year that the Commission's new rules apply to you. You can find out more about these new rules in section 55E(1). The Commission's new rules will replace the old ones, so after the first year they apply, you will no longer have to follow the old regulations made under section 55 of the Gas Act 1992.

55JSavings provision until Commission publishes information disclosure requirements

  1. The Gas (Information Disclosure) Regulations 1997 continue to apply to each supplier of gas pipeline services in respect of every financial year that precedes the first financial year to which a determination made by the Commission referred to in section 55E(1) applies to that supplier.

  2. After that, no regulations made under section 55 of the Gas Act 1992 apply to the supplier of gas pipeline services.
