Illustration for Commerce Act 1986

When a customised price-quality path for a supplier of goods or services ends, you are subject to the default price-quality path that applies to other suppliers of those goods or services. The prices at the start of the default path are the same as the prices at the end of the customised path, unless the Commission tells you otherwise at least 4 months before the customised path ends. You will then follow the default price-quality path.

You will keep following the default price-quality path until it is no longer applicable to other suppliers, or until you get a new customised price-quality path. If you want another customised price-quality path, you can apply for one according to the rules set out in section 53Q.

You can apply for another customised path even if you are already following one or have followed one in the past.
