When an Order in Council is made under section 56K, the Commission has to make a decision as soon as possible. This decision, called a section 52P determination, explains how the new rules will apply to certain airport services. You can think of it like a set of instructions that says how the new rules will work.

The Commission's decision must be very similar to what was recommended under section 56H, or to any advice given to the Minister under section 56I(3). This means the Commission cannot make a decision that is significantly different from what was already suggested. The decision has to follow the original recommendation or advice closely.
