The Commerce Commission is a Crown entity, which means it follows some rules from the Crown Entities Act 2004. You can think of a Crown entity as a group that works for the government. The Crown Entities Act 2004 applies to the Commission, but only if this Act does not say otherwise. When it comes to the Crown Entities Act 2004, the members of the Commission are like a board, they make decisions and help run the Commission. You can find more information about what this means by looking at the Crown Entities Act 2004.
