When you read this part of the law, some words have special meanings. A competition report is a document the Commission writes under section 51B. It explains what the Commission found out.

A competition study looks at things that affect how goods or services are supplied or acquired. You might wonder what an organisation is in this context. An organisation can be a group named in Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975, or in Schedule 1 of the Official Information Act 1982, or it can be the Auditor-General.

These meanings help you understand what the law is talking about. You need to know these meanings to make sense of this part of the law. The law uses these words in a specific way.
