When the Commission is looking at a business acquisition, they might decide to hold a conference before making a decision under section 66(3) or section 67(3). You will get notice of the conference, including the date, time, and place, and what will be discussed. The Commission will tell you and other people who are allowed to be at the conference about these details.

The Commission follows rules when they hold a conference, which are outlined in section 64. They apply these rules as if the conference was held under a different section, and they make some changes to how the rules work. For example, they change who is allowed to be at the conference and what decisions they are talking about, like the decisions under section 66(3) or section 67(3).

The rules also say that the Commission will consider certain things when they are making their decision, like who gave notice under section 66(1) or section 67(1). They will use these rules to help them make a fair decision about the business acquisition.
