The Commission has to reset the default price-quality paths for each supplier before 1 April 2010, and they use the process set out in section 53P to do this. You need to know that the Commission can reset these paths even if some important information is not available. The Commission can change these paths again if new information becomes available after 1 April 2010, and they can use section 53P to do this.

If the Commission wants to change the paths again, they have to do it within 9 months of getting the new information. The Commission's powers to change the paths do not affect some other parts of the law, like sections 54N and 54O. The Commission has to follow the rules when making these changes, and they have to consider the information they have at the time.

The law says that the Commission can make these changes, but it also sets out some limits on when and how they can do it, like not being able to change the paths more than 9 months after getting new information, unless it is allowed by another part of the law, such as section 53ZB(1) or the process in section 53P.
