This Act applies to the Crown. You need to know the Crown is bound by this Act. The Crown is not liable for some animals it owns or manages, as stated in the Wild Animal Control Act 1977 and the Wildlife Act 1953. The Crown is not responsible under this Act for animals it owns or manages under other laws. This means the Crown does not have to follow this Act for those animals. You should look at the specific laws to understand which animals are included.
