Animal Welfare Act 1999

Animal exports

46: Issue of animal welfare export certificate

You could also call this:

"Getting a certificate to export animals if you follow the rules"

The Director-General must give you an animal welfare export certificate if you comply with all the conditions set under section 45. You get the certificate when the Director-General signs it and gives it to you. The Director-General checks that you follow all the rules before giving you the certificate.

If you do not follow the regulations made under this Act, the Director-General can refuse to give you a certificate. The Director-General can also cancel or change a certificate that has already been given.

The Director-General makes these decisions to ensure you comply with the rules and conditions set under the Act and section 45.
