Animal Welfare Act 1999

Use of animals in research, testing, and teaching - Reviews of code holders and animal ethics committees

115: Report

You could also call this:

"Writing a report about an animal welfare review"

When you conduct a review, you must prepare a draft report that says what you think and what you recommend. You will send this draft report to the code holder and give them at least 15 working days to respond and comment on it. After you get their response, you will prepare a final report that says what you conclude and what you recommend.

You will send a copy of the final report to the code holder. You must also send a copy of the final report to the Director-General and the National Animal Ethics Advisory Committee. You will send them any response and comments the code holder made about the draft report too.

You are doing this as part of a review of a code holder and an animal ethics committee, which is required by the Animal Welfare Act 1999.
