181: Agricultural compounds and hazardous substances

This Act does not apply to you when you use agricultural compounds that are registered under the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997 and you use them correctly. You must follow the conditions that the compound is registered under. This Act also does not apply to you when you use hazardous substances that are approved under the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 and you use them correctly. You must follow the rules that apply to the substance because of its hazard classification under that Act. You need to make sure you are using these substances in the right way to meet these exceptions.

181Agricultural compounds and hazardous substances

  1. Nothing in this Act applies in relation to the use of—

  2. any agricultural compound that—
    1. is registered under the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997; and
      1. is used in accordance with the conditions subject to which it is registered; or
      2. any hazardous substance that—
        1. is approved under the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996; and
          1. is used in accordance with the controls that attach to the substance by virtue of its hazard classification under that Act.
