156B: Content

You could also call this:

"What a compliance notice must tell you"

When you get a compliance notice, it must tell you some important things. It must say who the notice is for, which is you, and why the inspector gave it to you. It must also say what you must do or not do, as stated in section 156A(2).

The notice must give you a reasonable time to do what it says, or tell you when you must stop doing something. It may also have some conditions you must follow. You will be told what will happen if you do not comply with the notice.

The notice must also tell you about your rights to appeal, as stated in section 156F. It must say who gave you the notice and where they work.
