You need to know what a code of ethical conduct contains. It must have rules for the person in charge and the animal ethics committee. These rules are about how to treat animals. You must follow certain policies and procedures when working with animals. These include making sure the animal ethics committee can do its job and that everyone on the committee has a say. You also need to monitor how well you are following the rules and keep records. The code of ethical conduct must also say how animals will be managed and what facilities will be used. It must ensure that any complaints are dealt with fairly and promptly. Sometimes, it may need to include extra policies and procedures, like the ones mentioned in section 84(1)(b). The code of ethical conduct must follow the rules of the Animal Welfare Act and any other standards or policies. It must also meet any requirements set out in regulations made under the Act. This is to ensure that animals are treated well and that you are doing the right thing.
