Animal Welfare Act 1999

Provisions relating to administration - Approved organisations, inspectors, and auxiliary officers

121: Approved organisations

You could also call this:

"Who can be an approved group to help with animal welfare?"

The Minister can choose an organisation to be an approved organisation for the Animal Welfare Act. You can apply to be an approved organisation. The Minister needs some information from you to make this decision. You must tell the Minister your organisation's full name and address.

You also need to say where your organisation will work if it is approved. The Minister wants to know if your organisation meets certain criteria, which are explained in section 122. You have to give the Minister the information they need to decide this.
