6SChairpersons of Boards

  1. The Minister shall, by the notice appointing the members of a Board, appoint one of its members to be the chairperson of the Board for a term of 1 year, and thereafter the members shall from time to time elect one of their number to be the chairperson for such period as they think fit.

  2. The chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the Board at which he or she is present.

  3. If the chairperson is absent from any meeting, the members present shall appoint one of their number to be the chairperson of that meeting.
