Conservation Act 1987

Concessions

17ZF: Aircraft

You could also call this:

"Rules for landing and taking off aircraft in conservation areas"

If you want to land or take off an aircraft in a conservation area, you must use a certified aerodrome. You can land or take off from a non-certified site if there is an emergency, such as a problem with the aircraft or bad weather. You can also land or take off if you need to work on a maritime navigational aid or if you have a concession from the Minister. You must carry the concession document with you if you have one, and the pilot must have seen it before landing or taking off. This rule does not apply to aircraft operated by the New Zealand Defence Force or the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand. When landing, it includes hovering, picking up or dropping off people or goods from the aircraft.
